Recently, I was asked by a client to create a design that will be used as a DVD Disc Cover. Unfortunately, the request was very new to me. I have never designed anything like it before and I have no idea how to create one but that didn’t stop me from accepting the request or job. To help me get started, I turned to Google and searched for DVD Disc Cover Designs and from there I was able to get an idea of what it is and how it is created. I was also able to download a nice template to use and you can download it here.
The first DVD Disc Cover Design I made was for Investwell Marketing. As you can see from the design above, the design bleeds off the edge of the Disc but none of those will show when the design is printed on Disc. The client also got the Photoshop file of the design so they will be able to remove guides and edit the design if they feel like it. Read the rest of this entry »
