Banners for The Beat with McKenna, IslandBeats.com

Posted in Graphics Design on March 25th, 2011 by Romelo Itong

I recently finished a couple of banners for a new client and the banners are for a television music countdown show called The Beat with McKenna. It was the first time I designed something for a television show. Most of the banner designs I’ve created were for businesses or people who are mostly into online or web marketing of some kind.

The client requested two banners for The Beat with McKenna and these two banners came in two different sizes. The sizes requested were 923×140 and 632×357 but both banners had almost the same look and feel. I don’t remember if the client requested two different designs but both banners where accepted, approved and paid for. Read the rest of this entry »

Banners For A Fashion Warehousing and Distribution Solutions Business

I recently designed three banners for a Fashion Warehousing and Distribution Solutions business. I’m not sure where the banners will be used but they were very big. The size requested by the client for the banners were 1000×200 pixels. My guess is, the banners will be used as page headers either for an entire website or a landing page.

As for the design of the banners, I used images or photos related to warehousing, deliveries, storage and fashion. The colors I used on the banners were based on the colors of the logo which was provided by the client. I was given permission to try other colors  in the design of the banners but I kept it simple and stuck with the colors of the logo. Read the rest of this entry »

Header For A Make Money Online Blog

Posted in Graphics Design on July 12th, 2010 by Romelo Itong

Recently, I received an e-mail request from a fellow blogger if I can make her a header for her blog on making money online. Instead of replying to her e-mail, I just created one and sent it to her, via e-mail, afterwards. Fortunately, she  liked it and, when I visited her blog again, she was already using the header that I made for him. Of course, knowing that she was happy with the header also made me happy. Click here to check it out!

In designing the header, the only reference that I used was the blog itself. The colors, messaging, images and even the height and width of the header were all based on her live blog. This made the completed header blend well with the rest of the blog. Read the rest of this entry »

Headers for WordPress

A couple of weeks ago I received a request from a client to create 50 static headers for Worpdress. He offered to pay $5 USD per header for a total of $250 USD which I gladly accepted. The headers were 935 pixels by 150 pixels in length and width but I also created 800 pixels by 100 pixels version for each one. I based the design of each banner from a list of 50 domain names which the client sent. Obviously, the banners will be used on the domains listed.

I usually ask for a 50% downpayment before working on a job but for this one payment was sent after. Getting paid after doing the work is risky since the client can suddenly disappear or, for some reason, choose not to pay and cancel the job. It has happened to me a lot of times in the past too. Anyway, I fully trust this client that is why I agreed to get paid after. Read the rest of this entry »
